Many of us at Placentino and Miller attended a Professional Development day last Friday that focused on the Empowering Writers program that is being introduced to 2nd grade and up. It seemed like the program was lacking in visuals, so we have developed a more “visually appealing” narrative diamond that breaks up the parts of a great narrative, with additional pages that focus on each individual part.
